About Jamie

Jamie Forsyth was born in 1971 and has lived in Ranburne (Cleburne County) his entire life. He graduated from Ranburne High School in 1989 and studied business, art, and mathematics at Southern Union State Community College. While still in college, Jamie opened Forsyth Floor Covering in 1990 — a small business he has proudly operated for over 35 years.

Jamie has been deeply involved in the local economy for decades, opening a storefront in Ranburne in 1999 and later converting his business to an LLC in 2004. After a serious 30-foot fall on a job site in 2019, Jamie transitioned to working from home to protect his long-term health. This experience strengthened his desire to serve the people of District 13 in a way that uses his skills, leadership, and faith.

Jamie continued his education at Samford University in Birmingham, completing an Advanced Ministry Training degree in 2021. His ministry background inspires his commitment to serving families, communities, and neighbors with honesty, compassion, and Christian values.

As a lifelong resident, small business owner, husband, and father of six, Jamie believes in building a better future for all within District 13 — strengthening rural communities, improving healthcare access, supporting working families, and protecting Alabama’s farmland and natural resources.

Jamie is a proud Alabamian who believes that the government should work for the betterment of everybody. He hopes to earn your support as the next Alabama State Senator for District 13.
